Pollak has strong family background

I'd like to encourage voters in the 9th Congressional District to vote for Joel Pollak on Nov. 2. I've attended many of his functions and am convinced he is a person we can trust to make good decisions in Washington for our benefit.

Joel may be young (34) but is highly qualified for the job. He ranked first in his Niles North class, was on the swim and math teams, has written two books and has worked for civil rights since his graduation from Niles, Harvard and Harvard's law school.

If Joel's resume is not impressive enough, one need only look at his family: his grandfather being originally from Poland (via South Africa); his grandmother still volunteering in a Jewish organization at 90+ years old; his father a surgeon who fought corruption in the transplant system; his mother a physical therapist and artist; his sister a teacher in New York; his brother a restaurant entrepreneur; and especially his wife, Julia, who was raised in South Africa by a feminist and human rights activist mother. Julia is a Harvard graduate specializing in economics and in January begins basic training in our Naval Reserves. This young couple, Joel and Julia Pollak, is a beacon of light in this time of uncertainty and economic trouble.

I urge the voters to look at Joel Pollak, a trustworthy, intelligent person with quality family support, a skill of listening, and conservative positions on national security, reining in spending, limiting federal government power, fighting corruption, and creating jobs by supporting business.
