Lauree Harp is chairing the effort to plan the 125th celebration of the incorporation of Arlington Heights under that name, and she has pulled together a panel of Arlington Heights notables to be the committee.
Working on the Arlington Heights 125 Celebration are: Greg Ford, former village employee and former chairman of the Senior Center board; Jim Glueckert, employee of the Arlington Heights Park District; Alan Lattof, grandson of Nicholas Lattof, who chaired the capital campaign to build Northwest Community Hospital; Gary and Haven McClung, active volunteers with village boards and commissions and other groups; Cathy Sauer McQuillan, recently retired as a teacher; Robert Paddock, executive vice president of Paddock Publications; Krystle Seifert, who worked in business and is now employed by a not-for-profit organization; Gerry Souter, writer of five books on Arlington Heights; Kristine Stabler, employee of Arlington Park and known for community involvement; Deb Whisler, employee of Arlington Heights Memorial Library. Before it was called Arlington Heights, the village had several other names, most notably Dunton.
