Cook, 36, of the 800 block of Village Quarter Road, West Dundee, was charged with possession of a controlled substance Monday after police pulled him over on a traffic stop and found less than 15 grams of cocaine on his person and inside his car, police said. His bail was set at $10,000 and he is due in court Sept. 10 at the Kane County Judicial Center.bull; Jamel K. Hohnson, 23, of the 100 block of Woodland Court, Carpentersville, was charged with criminal damage to property Tuesday morning. Police said he punched out three glass windows on someone's house. His bail was set at $15,000 and he is due in court Thursday.Elginbull; A woman was attacked and bitten by a Rottweiler at about 5:15 a.m. Saturday at Ann Street and Hill Avenue, reports said. The victim was bitten on the left arm and both thighs before neighbors beat the dog to get it off her, reports said. The victim was treated at Provena St. Joseph Hospital for nonlife threatening injuries. The dog got away and its owner could not be located, police said.bull; A man in a strip mall the 1300 block of Wing Street was kicked in the head and his laptop computer stolen at about 2:23 p.m. Saturday, reports said.bull; Brandon M. Pinder, 21, of the 400 block of Sunset Street, Elgin, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and obstructing justice at 12:15 p.m. Sunday at National and Grove streets, reports said. Police were called to the area for a fight and found Pinder shirtless and bleeding from his head, reports said. Pinder is accused of kicking an officer who tried to take him to the hospital, reports said. bull; Teodulo Benitez, 23, of the 400 block of Illinois Avenue, Elgin, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property at 9 p.m. Sunday, reports said. He is accused of breaking a window with a rock on Aug. 28, police said.bull;A TomTom GPS and four wireless phones were stolen between 7 p.m. Saturday and 5:30 a.m. Sunday from a 2004 Toyota Corolla in the 100 block of Commonwealth Avenue, reports said.bull; A man was struck in the chin with a semiautomatic pistol outside a liquor store in the 0-99 block of Clocktower Plaza at about 8:53 p.m. Sunday in a robbery attempt, reports said. Nothing was stolen, reports said.St. Charlesbull; Luis Gomez, 56, of the 2000 block of Berkshire Circle in Carpentersville, was arrested Aug. 31 on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, driving too fast for conditions, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving without a valid driver's license, according to a police report. Police received a call about a hit-and-run accident on North Kirk Road near Dunham Road, reports said. The driver of the car that was hit told police he was stopped at the traffic light when he was rear-ended by Gomez' vehicle, police said. The driver pulled over and got out of his car, but the car that struck him sped off. The driver who was struck wrote down license plate information of the vehicle as it sped away. The driver then attempted to follow the vehicle that hit him, but stopped when the other car began driving erratically, according to police. East Dundee police later located Gomez and arrested him after he was involved in two other hit-and-run accidents in their community. bull; Joseph Paul Pryor, 33, of the 2000 block of Westridge Boulevard in Bartlett, was arrested Sept. 1 on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, speeding, improper lane usage, disobeying a stop sign and driving too fast for conditions, according to a police report. St. Charles police were called to assist detectives with the arrest of the driver of a vehicle speeding through the area, reports state. Police located Pryor's vehicle traveling east on West Main Street at a speed in excess of 50 mph while driving in the median lane past all eastbound traffic. Pryor attempted to make a right turn on South 4th Street, but ran off the road, over the curb and struck several signs, police said. He then exited the vehicle and began to run, according to reports. Officers gave chase and saw Pryor try to hide under a truck parked on the 300 block of Walnut Street, police said. Police extricated Pryor and arrested him.
