Police: West Dundee man robbed two at gunpoint
A West Dundee man was arrested over the weekend on charges he robbed two men at gunpoint in Elgin, police said.
Corey M. Zentefis, 27, of the 700 block of Strom Drive, West Dundee, was charged with two counts of armed robbery stemming from the Saturday evening offense, police said.
At 7 p.m., the two men were together on the 200 block of Dundee Avenue when Zentefis robbed one of them of $900 and the other of $250, police spokeswoman Sue Olafson said.
East Dundee police pulled Zentefis over on an unrelated traffic stop the following day and Elgin police collected him shortly thereafter, Olafson said.
Kane County Judge Bruce Lester set Zentefis' bail at $75,000. He is due in court Oct. 7 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
If found guilty of one of the Class X felony charges, Zentefis could spend between six and 30 years in prison.
