Penn St. line gets tough test at Iowa
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- No. 22 Penn State's new right tackle will have a tough assignment for his first start of the season.
The Nittany Lions travel to No. 17 Iowa this weekend for the Big Ten opener, facing the Hawkeyes' formidable defensive front.
Defensive end Adrian Clayborn leads the charge up front. Coach Joe Paterno says Iowa has one of the best defensive lines in the nation.
With senior Lou Eliades out for the year with a right knee injury, backup Chima Okoli likely will step in at right tackle for the Nittany Lions. It's a blow for an offense that just sprung tailback Evan Royster for a career-best 187 yards against Temple.
The line also must protect freshman quarterback Rob Bolden, making his fifth career start.
