Chicago woman charged with identity theft

Bond was set at $5,000 Saturday for 32-year-old Chicago woman charged with felony identity theft after she reportedly had been using a Flordia woman's social security number since 2007.

Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Moe Ahmad said Coraima Hernandez, who lives in the 3400 block of Le Moyne St., was apprehended Friday at Wisconsin Tool & Stamping Co. in Schiller Park where she works in quality control.

Officials from the Internal Revenue Service and Social Security helped in the investigation.

Cook County Associate Judge John J. Scotillo set Hernandez' bond at $5,000 and scheduled her for a 1:30 p.m. Sept. 7 court appearance in room 108 of the Rolling Meadows Courthouse.
