Racial makeup of Beck rally big deal?

I would be very curious as to why Associated Press writers Philip Elliot and Nafeesa Syeed felt it was so important to report the racial makeup of those attending Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally - so much so that it was part of the first sentence of their report - but did not feel it was at all important to report the racial make up of Rev. Al Sharpton's counter rally, in their Sunday, Aug. 29 story about the events.
