Think of family when motorcycling

I am appalled at doing anything but "eyes on the road driving." I have not read anywhere the medical details of Anita Zaffke's motorcycle death. However, again it reminds me: Was she wearing a helmet? I ask, not that I believe her freedom/choice should be made by law, but all the headlines ever written/spoken would increase the awareness with each death, of loving your family, friends more than self, should you get into a motorcycle accident and die from not wearing a helmet.

Can the joy you receive from riding with the wind blowing in your hair and sun burning your face equal the pain you may be possibly giving a loved one forever - or by not having at least tried to protect your one and only life (and brain?)

Every time I see a motorcycle rider wearing a helmet, I thank the good Lord for his/her unselfish loyalty to others in their care and even for all other drivers on the road that the decision they made to live is greater than defying the odds of death as they say, "Watch out for me - I own the road. Let someone else raise my children."

I will not say I'm glad they saved on gas by taking their motorcycle - only that I pray they are a believer when they meet their God and I will see them again.
