Another day at Blagojevich trial with no verdict
The tenth day of deliberations by jurors in the corruption trial of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich has ended with no verdict.
Judge James Zagel told attorneys earlier Tuesday he's heard nothing from deliberating jurors recently.
The only way jurors may communicate with the judge is by sending him a note. Notes can sometimes indicate jurors are deadlocked. But the last note they sent was July 30.
Zagel indirectly addressed the anxiety those awaiting a verdict are feeling.
He told the court during a regular check-in by attorneys that, in his words, "We are all in exactly the same position. We are waiting."
Blagojevich faces 24 counts, including charges of trying to sell or trade an appointment to President Barack Obama's vacated Senate seat. He has pleaded not guilty.
