• Annual Fair Trade International Gift Festival, Nov. 17-20, hosted by Ten Thousand Villages fair-trade store in Glen Ellyn at the home of Norm and Sharon Ewert, 401 N. Scott, Wheaton. Sale of pottery, jewelry, decorations, home decor and 300 heirloom-quality handknotted Oriental rugs made by fair-trade artisans in Pakistan. This year, the sale takes on new meaning as many of the artisans who made the rugs were forced to break down their looms and evacuate their homes because of the recent devastating flood in Pakistan.
