New trash bins in Hanover Park

Hanover Park residents began receiving new recycling carts this week as part of the village's improved recycling program with Allied Waste Services.

Every single-family home will receive a 65-gallon wheeled recycling cart. Townhomes and homeowner associations will receive 35-gallon carts.

Residents can continue using the old 18-gallon bins for the next three weeks, at which point waste management services will only pick up the new carts.
