St. Charles-area mailbox blown up for 4th time

A mailbox on the 04N500 block of Crane Lane, near St. Charles, was reported destroyed by explosives at 10:27 p.m. Wednesday.

The owner told police it was the fourth time since last October that her mailbox was blown up.

Police said they did not locate any explosive materials at the scene.

The mailbox was found about 50 feet away from its post, according to a police report.
