N.Y mosque is a slap in the face

We are a "land of the free" - not to be dictated to by a foreign god of hate who demands his followers to destroy the infidels. Muslims who first came to America perhaps longed to escape their religion's horrible dictates. But there are also many in our land under false pretense and their mosques preach hatred for us.

Can we successfully identify each one who would desire our destruction from within? We are Allah's greatest enemy. Thus we can realistically doubt the peaceful intent of this proposed mosque. It is not a religious matter but one of needed civility to those who lost loved ones in a vicious Muslim attack. We are not the enemy to those who have peacefully adjusted to our Christian way of life but are to those who really do hate us.

We are right to question its purpose. To allow this building is more than a slap in the face of those who suffered and also to our nation's faith in the Almighty. We do not know the goal of those who would occupy this building or who would fund the millions involved in building it. Too many unanswered questions.

I do not believe there are thousands of Muslims truly committed to America's freedoms living in that area to attend and the building would house more activity than just worship. There are those rebels who would understandably welcome a huge new home. How about a Christian church that would honor the families of our 9/11 victims? Time to think this through and not act in haste. I, for one, cannot tolerate what is happening to Muslims who remain in their homeland. Militant Muslims have even less sympathy for us.
