Brady raps Quinn over prison release report
Republican Bill Brady's campaign is blasting Gov. Pat Quinn for skipping the presentation of a report on the early release of inmates from Illinois prisons.
The report said Quinn's Department of Corrections didn't consider possible public saftey dangers when it granted early release to try to save money.
Brady calls it a "a dangerous abdication of responsibility" for Quinn not to deliver the results of the report himself.
Brady says public safety is a governor's first responsibility.
Quinn later held a press conference at a Chicago beach to answer questions from reporters.
