Abbott Labs' Humira honored

Merck & Co.'s Remicade, Pfizer Inc.'s Enbrel and Libertyville Township-based Abbott Laboratories' Humira won the backing of the U.K. National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence for use in patients with "active and progressive" psoriatic arthritis.

The drugs are recommended for patients who haven't responded to previous treatment, the agency said today in an e- mailed statement.
