St. Charlesbull; Three men were observed stealing prepaid cell phones from a T-Mobile store inside a mall on the 3800 block of East Main Street, but they got away after disabling the store's alarm system and running from an employee on Saturday, according to a police report.bull; Employees at an automotive repair business on the 1500 block of West Main Street discovered gang graffiti painted on the side of their building on July 15. Employees scratched off the graffiti and painted over it to deter further gang activity.bull; Scott Nicholas Cameron, 20, of the 100 block of Picasso Drive and Amber Lea Page, 18, of the 6N100 block of Woodland Road, were charged July 19 with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, according to a police report. Police discovered the pair at Delnor Woods Park in possession of a half empty bottle of rum. In speaking with Cameron, police said his speech was slurred and he had a strong odor of alcohol coming from him. Police also found Cameron had an outstanding warrant for a previous incident involving underage consumption of alcohol. Police also noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from her. Page told police the alcohol belonged to Cameron. Cameron later told police the alcohol was not his; it belonged to another person in the park.bull; Luke McConnell Cowart, 20 of the 3700 block of Greenwood Lane and Brandy B. Giannini, 19, of the 3N700 block of James Fenimore Cooper Lane, were arrested Sunday, according to a police report. The pair was spotted driving a purple 1995 Chevy Camaro on the 1800 block of East Main Street while straddling the white center dotted lines of traffic. Police then observed the vehicle run through a red light. Police pulled the vehicle over and found the driver stuffing a clear bag down the front side of his pants that appeared to contain a green leafy substance. Cowart told police he had smoked some of the cannabis in the bag about four hours before being pulled over. Police then questioned Giannini, who told police she had consumed a couple shots of alcohol earlier in the evening. Police then discovered a pack of cigarettes in the car containing two orange pills. Police researched the pills and found they were Alprazolam, a narcotic. Cowart admitted to police they were his pills. The clear plastic bag also tested positive for 19.86 grams of cannabis. Cowart was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, improper lane usage, disobeying a traffic control device and possession of cannabis. Giannini was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.bull; Stephanie Michelle Pelligrino, 18, of the 1600 block of Far Hills Drive in Bartlett, was arrested July 20 on charges of retail theft, according to a police report. Store security at Von Maur, 3810 E. Main St., observed Pelligrino select several shirts, enter a fitting room, then exit with fewer clothing items than when she entered. Pelligrino then left the store without paying for any items. Store security stopped her and clothing items stuffed into a purse had a value of $277.bull; Megan M. Winfree, 19, of the 2000 block of Wessel Court, was charged July 20 with retail theft, according to a police report. Store security at Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road, observed Winfree select multiple items from the store then meet up with a second female. The two entered a fitting room where they remained for 20 minutes. The women then left the store without purchasing any items. Store security stopped Winfree and found 20 items in a baby stroller she was pushing that she did not pay for totaling about $171. bull; Sheldon K. Bohochik, 23, of the 0-100 block of East Woodworth Place in Roselle, was charged July 21 with fleeing police, reckless driving, disobeying a traffic control signal, speeding and improper lane usage, according to a police report. Bohochik was observed driving without any lights on in the area of Prairie and Seventh streets. Police attempted to pull the vehicle over, but Bohochik sped away, cutting through lanes of traffic and running a red light as police pursued. The chase reached 70 mph in 30 mph zones at times. Police then terminated pursuit and advised police dispatch of the direction of the vehicle. Police still followed the vehicle but without emergency lights and at a reduced rate of speed. Bohochik then crossed into West Chicago where he was pursued by police there into Roselle, where he was eventually apprehended.Genevabull; Someone stole the compressor and coil from a rooftop air conditioning unit at Learning Express at the Geneva Commons shopping center on Randall Road between 9 a.m. July 21 and 9 a.m. Friday, police said.bull; The hinges on the rear window of a Chevrolet Tahoe were broken, likely by someone trying to pull the window out, between 9 a.m. July 9 and 10 p.m. Thursday in the 0-99 block of Briar Lane, police said.bull; Scott N. Cameron, 20, of the 100 block of Picasso Drive in St. Charles, was arrested and charged with resisting a peace officer and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, at 9:19 p.m. July 20 at Syril Drive and Sherman Avenue, according to a police report. Police say he pushed, pulled and shoved officers.bull; Someone cut the top of a Chrysler Sebring convertible in three places between 7 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Eagle Brook Drive. Police believe it is related to car burglaries in the area.bull; A Macintosh laptop computer, a Garmin Nuvi GPS device, a Chase checkbook and $10 in change were stolen out of two unlocked vehicles at a house in the 1000 block of St. Andrew's Circle between 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday, police said. One of the vehicles was in a garage.bull; Two sets of Bose headphones and a GPS device were stolen out of an unlocked Chevrolet Yukon between 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Lois Court, police said.Bataviabull; Someone siphoned $10 worth of gasoline out of a vehicle in the 500 block of McKee Street sometime Saturday or Sunday, police said.bull; A thief made off with a wallet and a Blackberry telephone near the tennis courts at Prairie-Lathem Park, 500 Lathem Street, between noon and 6 p.m. Saturday, police said.bull; Car burglars struck the far west side of Batavia between 10:30 and 11:50 p.m. Sunday. All 11 of the vehicles were unlocked. The worker believes it may be related to incidents earlier that day where police were called to investigate a call from a person who yelled obscenities, followed by sight of an unknown man looking at equipment in the back lot of the business.bull; Three rings were stolen out of a residence in the 1200 block of East Wilson Street, it was reported at 12:02 p.m. Friday, police said.Kane Countybull; A diamond engagement ring, a pink birthstone ring and a gold coin were stolen out of a home in the 6N000 block of Old Homestead Road in St. Charles Township between noon July 1 and 3 p.m. July 15 while the owner was on vacation. She told deputies she suspects her second ex-husband stole the items because they had sentimental value to her, because other expensive jewelry was left untouched.bull; Ivan Avil#233;s, 20, of the 1900 block of Wessel Court, St. Charles, and Angel Gabriel Ramirez, 31, of the 1700 block of Wessel Court, St. Charles, were charged with illegal transportation of open alcohol at 11:03 p.m. Friday, according to a police report. They were passengers in a pickup truck a deputy reported was doing 82 mph in a 45-mph zone on Randall Road near Crane Road in St. Charles Township. The vehicle refused to stop for the deputy, and eventually parked in a lot in an apartment complex on Wessel and ran off. Avil#233;s and Ramirez told the deputy they did not know who the man was, but that he had offered to drive them to South Elgin to get beer. The two had open cans of beer.bull; A metal clipboard and a wallet containing a firearm owners identification card and a driver's license were stolen out of an unlocked Ford F250 truck in the 1200 block of Woodland Avenue, Batavia, between 7:30 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.bull; An iPod Touch was stolen out of a vehicle in the 37W800 block of Pine Needles Court, Batavia, between 12:40 a.m. Saturday and 8:30 p.m. Sunday, police said.
