Congressmen should look for jobs

Some of our so-called leaders in Congress say it's time to cut off unemployment benefits for the millions of Americans who've been out of work for 18 months or more. Extending benefits, they say, is a "disincentive" for these folks to keep looking for jobs.

Like those benefits have been sufficient for families to keep dining out and taking fun vacations while making mortgage payments, putting kids through school and keeping their health insurance current.

As Rod Blagojevich might say, "Those (expletive) people should have their (expletive) heads examined!" Better still, they should be given pink slips and try finding jobs for which they're better qualified while living on unemployment benefits - but only for 18 months, lest it prove to be a disincentive.
