Finch, 3 Team USA stars return to play for Bandits

After helping Team USA romp to another softball title in the ISF Women's World Championships last weekend, Olympic star Jennie Finch will suit up for the Chicago Bandits on Thursday and Friday.

Finch will join fellow National Team members Eileen Canney, Ashley Holcombe and Vicky Galindo on the Bandits roster, said Bandits general manager Aaron M. Moore.

Thursday's game will feature the Bandits against the Akron Racers at the Bandits' home field on the campus of Judson University. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and Finch will see action at the plate and is slated for relief pitcher duties. For tickets, call 877-722-6348.

Friday's game vs. Akron will be at Silver Cross Field, the home of the Joliet JackHammers of the Northern League baseball. That game is slated to start at 7:05 p.m. and Finch is schedule to pitch, according to the JackHammers' website. For tickets, call 815 726-2255.

The Bandits then return to Elgin for games against Akron on Saturday and Sunday.
