Police: Wauconda man was dealing cocaine in Naperville
Naperville Police arrested a Wauconda man on Friday following a monthlong investigation into alleged cocaine sales in Naperville.
Aaron J. Koonce, 24, of the 100 block of South Maple Avenue, is charged with two counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
He was arrested around 3 p.m. in a parking lot in the 800 block of South Route 59.
According to DuPage County court records, pretrial detention was denied, and he was released from jail on Saturday.
A man with him at the time – Kenny A. Navarrete, 29, of the 4100 block of Beach Street, Island Lake – was also arrested after police allegedly found him to have both a loaded handgun and cocaine. He is charged with one count of armed violence and possession of a controlled substance. Pretrial detention was denied, and he was released from jail Saturday.
A 29-year-old man from Wauconda, who was driving Koonce and Navarrete, was charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license. Police did not provide his name.
