Look at science, worldview scenarios through God's word
I can't quite understand Paul Whittington's statement that I inferred that "one cannot accept the observable facts and still be a Christian." My point was and is that the Christian position is that of a six-day creation.
Only God can be the judge as to who are true Christians. There are many professing Christians, having been indoctrinated by the government school system, who were tricked into accepting evolution and many other sinful worldviews.
For the Christian, the only infallible rule for faith and practice is the Holy Scripture. In Genesis 1:26a we read "And God Said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness"; the likeness of God is not a ball of slime. In Romans 12: 2 God commands us, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Paul Whittington wants Christians to view the Bible through the dirty, dim and ever-changing lens of so-called science, rather than just the opposite.
Our minds need to be transformed to view science and all worldview scenarios through the clear light of God's word.
Perhaps if Mr. Whittington would study a book by the late pastor of Philadelphia's Tenth Presbyterian Church, Dr. James Montgomery Boice, called "Renewing Your Mind in a Mindless World"; he might obtain a better understanding of what constitutes a true Christian worldview.
