Dist. 15 has yet to hire interim superintendent

The Palatine Township Elementary District 15 school board at a special meeting Wednesday spent about four hours behind closed doors interviewing several candidates for interim superintendent, but didn't take a vote on whether to hire one.

Action is expected to take place sometime next week at another special meeting.

While some officials believe district staff could do the job for a year, the board is expected to hire an interim to replace former Superintendent Dan Lukich, who the district will pay $185,000 for resigning a year early.
