Rooney hosting two town halls next week

State Sen. Tom Rooney, a Republican from Rolling Meadows, is hosting a pair of town-hall meetings next week to discuss issues facing the state and the Northwest suburbs.

The first is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Arlington Heights' village hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road. The second is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Prospect Heights City Hall, 8 N. Elmhurst Road.

Rooney will provide an update on the spring legislative session, including the passage of a balanced budget. Those who attend will have an opportunity to ask questions and share their suggestions about state government.
