Stop career politicians, vote against incumbents this year
I offer my condolences to the family of Sen. Robert Byrd on their loss. Having said that, Sen. Byrd and other career politicians (Ted Kennedy rings a bell) and half of our current Washington contingent represent exactly what is wrong with politics in this country today.
This is the year of voting against the incumbent from dogcatcher on up. I support that move, for career politicians can only offer more of the same political corruption so prevalent in Washington and across the country.
In order to keep their offices, they collectively spend most of their time raising money to get re-elected and, therefore, owe everyone but the people they are supposed to represent.
