Change in grant processElgin Township recently announced that it has temporarily suspended its annual social service grant process for specific project funding. Instead, due to continued state funding issues, it has elected to provide one-time funding assistance to agencies that provide essential well-being services. Applications are available at elgintownship.com or at the township office, 729 S. McLean Blvd., Elgin. Applications are due Friday, Sept. 24. Funding will be awarded in October.
