Nicor earns green award
The U.S. Green Building Council honored Naperville-based Nicor Gas for the building processes and materials used during the construction of the Des Plaines regional facility.
Nicor received a gold leed certification certificate. The building is the second in Des Plaines to receive LEED Certification and the first to receive the gold distinction. The award will be presented at the facility at 1665 Birchwood on Wednesday, Aug. 4.
