Tree of Memories can help when missing a loved one
For people who have lost a loved one, the holidays can be an especially difficult time.
That is why each year The Tree of Memories and the tree-lighting ceremony have been a part of the holiday season.
The way to remember a loved one is simple. Choose an ornament you would like to see on the tree that commemorates your loved one.
Your ornament can be homemade, purchased or an ornament that is part of your family heirloom collection.
Each ornament is registered, numbered and hung on the tree and remains there throughout the holidays. Then it is removed, carefully stored and returned to the tree for holiday seasons to come.
Ornaments may be registered through Thursday, Dec. 30.
