Tell voters why you're running

As we get closer and closer to the midterm elections with only a few more than 100 days left, I keep waiting for the candidates who wish to be elected to tell us why they want to be elected. I would like them to say something besides "he lied to us" or "his bank funded criminals."

It would be refreshing and quite different to discover the reasons they want to be in government. For instance, "I want to be there to get a tax cut for workers and companies to stimulate the economy" or "I want to be elected to help keep and enforce the new health bill just passed by the President."

Or even why neither one tells us how he feels about Arizona making efforts to protect their border from illegals coming across from Mexico? Do you want to keep sending money to countries who hate us? Where do you stand on the abortion issue? Do you have any fresh ideas on the direction our country is heading in? What about the war?

Please, someone, tell me why I should vote for you. We are past the primary and you have been elected to run for office. Who are you? What do you believe in? Do you have a backbone? Never mind the sound bites. Heard them already!

This election will be one of the critical elections in many, many years. The sides are clearly defined. Liberal, conservative or socialist. Where are you?
