Send care package to troops
Once again, volunteers with the Yellow Ribbon Support Group on Saturday morning will be at tables near the Palatine Fourth of July parade with care packages ready to be sent to troops overseas.
Anyone wanting to help can pick up a box at the corner of Benton and Wood streets, take it to the post office and mail it for $10.70. The group has sent nearly 17,000 packages to date. Members will also march in the Fourth of July parade, which starts at 10 a.m.
