Arlington Heightsbull; Thieves stole car keys out of a locker in a men's locker room at X-Sport Fitness, 370 E. Golf Road, between 5:10 and 6:30 p.m. July 24, used the keys to open the victim's 2006 Toyota 4Runner, and stole a credit card out of the man's wallet in the vehicle. Someone used the card at Meijer in Rolling Meadows and Nordstrom in Woodfield Shopping Center.bull; Thieves stole the combination lock off a locker in a men's locker room at X-Sport Fitness, 960 W. Dundee Road, between 2:10 and 3:20 p.m. July 23, stole $200 and a credit card out of a wallet in the locker and made a $1,000 purchase with the card at Macy's. During the same time and place, thieves opened a locker and stole a cell phone valued at $350. The offenders opened the combination lock without damaging it and closed it after taking the phone.bull; Thieves stole two brown rectangular flower pots weighing 50 pounds each off a front porch on the 100 block of Rammer Avenue between 9 p.m. July 23 and 7 a.m. July 24. Value was estimated at $130.bull; Thieves stole keys and a wallet after a shopper left them in the clothing section at Old Navy, 300 E. Rand Road, between 2 and 4 p.m. July 24. The keys were turned in, but the wallet, valued at $25, was missing.bull; Thieves stole a leather wallet valued at $25 out of a customer's purse after she hung it on the back of her chair at Panera Bread, 31 S. Evergreen Ave., between 7 and 7:30 p.m. July 24. Someone tried to use a credit card in the wallet at Panda Express and a Mobil gas station. It was not clear if the card was accepted.bull; Thieves stole a round, dark brown patio table off the front porch at a home on the 2300 block of Hunter Drive between 11 p.m. July 24 and 9:45 a.m. July 25. The glass table top was found shattered on the driveway, but the metal frame was missing. Damage was estimated at $200.bull; Thieves stole an unlocked boys orange bike off the back porch at a home on the 800 block of East Shady Way between 9 p.m. July 21 and 9 a.m. July 22. Value was estimated at $104.bull; Vandals scratched the word "Hi" on the hood of a 2010 Hyundai Touring on the 1500 block of East Crabtree between July 17 and 24.bull; Vandals covered a Toyota Camry with Silly String, wrote graffiti with makeup and lipstick on the rear passenger's-side door, and scratched the front passenger's-side door at a home on the 600 block of South Walnut between 11 p.m. July 24 and 9 a.m. July 25. Vandals also wrote graffiti in the dirt on the rear passenger's-side door of a Saturn in the same driveway. According to the male victim, he has been having problems with a group of area high school students for the past year and a half.bull; Burglars stole a pair of prescription eyeglasses, a pair of prescription sunglasses and the vehicle registration out of an unlocked 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix in an apartment lot on the 4200 block of North Bloomington Avenue between 11:30 p.m. July 21 and 6 a.m. July 22. Value was estimated between $600 and $700.bull; Burglars stole a pair of white earbud headphones valued at $30 out of a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee in a driveway on the 900 block of North Chestnut Avenue between 9:40 and 9:44 p.m. July 23. The male victim heard the car alarm and found the front driver's-side door open.bull; Burglars ransacked a 2007 Infiniti G35, entered the trunk through the back seat, and stole four golf clubs: a driver, 3-wood, putter and utility club on the second level of the village parking garage, 22 S. Vail Ave., between 10 p.m. July 23 and 6 a.m. July 24. Checks were also missing out of a checkbook. Value of the clubs was estimated at $1,075. bull; Burglars stole a sterling silver Italian horn charm and two sterling silver round charms out of the trunk of a 2005 Cadillac CTS on the third level of the village parking garage, 22 S. Vail Ave., between 3 p.m. July 25 and 5:48 a.m. July 26. Value was estimated at $300.bull; Burglars smashed a window on a 2005 GMC Yukon in a hotel lot at 75 W. Algonquin Road between 9:30 p.m. July 23 and 9 a.m. July 24, but apparently did not get inside. A GPS unit was on the windshield and the offenders may have tried to get in the vehicle to steal it.bull; Burglars stole a credit card, left knob off the in-dash stereo and the knob off the stick shift out of a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse on the third floor of the village parking garage, 1 S. Highland, between 2 p.m. July 22 and 1 p.m. July 24.bull; Burglars stole $20 out of a wallet in an unlocked Toyota Rav4 and an MP3 player out of the glove box in an unlocked Volkswagen Jetta in the same driveway on the 700 block of South Mitchell between 10:30 p.m. July 24 and 9 a.m. July 25.bull; Burglars stole an MP3 player valued at $200 and a change purse valued at $5 out of an unlocked 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt in a driveway on the 500 block of South Fernandez between midnight and 7:30 a.m. July 22Rolling Meadowsbull; Vandals tore down and cut openings in the fence behind a condominium complex on the 4600 block of Kenilworth between July 7 and 12. Damage was estimated at $3,000.bull; A male thief stole a red and white bicycle valued at $75 at a home on the 4900 block of Algonquin Parkway around 5:30 p.m. July 7.bull; Gilberto Morales-Benitez, 23, of the 4900 block of Weber Drive, Rolling Meadows, was arrested around 6 p.m. July 15 at Walmart, 1460 Golf Road, and charged with retail theft after he took a bottle of cologne. His court date is Aug. 9.bull; Thieves stole a boys red and black 18-inch bicycle off a bike rack outside the Rolling Meadows Library, 3110 Martin Lane, between 11:10 and 11:25 p.m. July 15.
