Taxpayers shouldn't pay for tollway ads

I was watching "The Today Show" this week just before 9 a.m. when an advertisement came on that that made my jaw drop. It was for the Illinois tollways! Are they crazy? With all the money problems and shortages in this state, they are wasting money on advertising the tollway?

I can only imagine how much that commercial cost - and for what purpose? I'm sure their advertising budget would be much better spent repairing and maintaining roads because they certainly don't need to advertise. Hey, Illinois Tollway Authority, get real and stop wasting money.
