2 arrests in standoff in Wisconsin
ONALASKA, Wis. -- A 25-year-old man is in the La Crosse County Jail awaiting possible charges in an armed standoff over the weekend.
The sheriff's department says residents of a home in Onalaska called authorities after hearing gunfire outside their house. When deputies arrived Saturday night they found a man with a loaded shotgun inside the home. He came out of the house, but refused to drop the gun. Authorities say he holed up in the house for about 30 minutes. Four adults and two children were in the home at the time. WXOW-TV says some left through the back door. Negotiators talked the man into surrendering.
A 19-year-old man was also arrested at the scene for disorderly conduct and underage drinking.
