Coaches with DUIs need not apply

Question: Should volunteer coaches with DUIs on their record be allowed to coach our youth in Arlington Heights?

This is something that is currently not being screened for, during background checks, when volunteer coaches are signing up to coach our youth.

As a parent of an 11-year-old, I would hope the organization would be choosing volunteers that represents this slogan "Character Counts"!

If you feel the same way as I do, please contact the AHYAA and voice your opinion that it should be checking volunteers for this potential disqualification issue.
