Elginbull; A man was found sleeping inside another person's 2004 Pontiac Sunfire in the 300 block of North Gifford Street about 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, reports said. The man walked away before police arrived, reports said. The car was rummaged through but nothing appeared to be stolen.bull; A man walked into Geno's Fine Wine and Spirits, 300 S. Perez, 23, of the 100 block of Mora Circle, Carpentersville, faces several charges stemming from a Tuesday morning traffic stop at Sparrow and Wren roads. Officers pulled him over for traffic violations and he admitted to having a marijuana cigarette, police said. A subsequent search of his vehicle turned up a .25 caliber handgun, ammunition and a drug pipe, said Cmdr. Timothy Bosshart. As a felon, Perez is not allowed to carry a handgun, Bosshart said. He was charged with three counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm without a FOID card, possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $40,000 and he is due in court Wednesday at the Kane County Judicial Center.
