'Living flag' was recreated in 1967

I'm writing concerning an article that was in your paper on June 14 titled "Great Lakes sailors make 'living' flag for Flag Day."

The article stated that 7,400 sailors formed a "living" U.S. flag at Great Lakes Naval Station and that they were trying to recreate a living flag that was done in 1917. They didn't have to go that far back in history.

In 1967, I was one of 10,000 sailors that did a living flag at Soldier Field. Sadly, it seems that piece of history has been forgotten.
