Streaks: Antioch has won 12 games in a row and 25 of its last 26 after starting the season 6-4; Metamora has won 31 games in a row, with its only loss being 4-1 to Marengo.
State history: Antioch has never advanced downstate; Metamora went downstate in 1978 and 1982. The Redbirds lost to Evergreen Park 8-4 in 1978 and fell to Elk Grove 13-3 in 1982.
Coaches: Antioch's Jeff Tylka is 63-8 in two seasons; Metamora's Deric Linder is 139-38 in five seasons.
Antioch power: The Sequoits have hit a state-record 48 home runs. Allie Anttila leads the way with 12, followed by Samie Seamon (11), Olivia Duehr (8), Jessica Ploss (6), Lauren Moore (5), Amber Mysliwiec (4) and Sam Kozenski (2). Anttila also leads the team with 52 RBI, followed by Duehr (41), Moore (40), Seamon (36), Mysliwiec (30), Cat Dinklenburg (27) and Ploss (27). Duehr and Seamon are the Sequoits' doubles leaders with 13 and 11, respectively.
Antioch is hitting .382.
Metamora power: The Redbirds have hit only 8 home runs, led by Molly Cull's 3 and Maddie Anglin's 2, but they've smacked 105 doubles. Their doubles leaders are Justine Phillips with 17, followed by Anglin (14), Jodi Rebholz (12), Cull (11), Paige Garber (11) and Morgan Obery (10).
