Wolfden Brewing Co. in Bloomingdale Old Town hosted an after hours event for the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce on Aug. 17. On Aug. 18 a ribbon-cutting ceremony was hosted for VNA Health Care who recently re-located within Bensenville. Their newly renovated space is located at 213 Main Street in downtown Bensenville. VNA Health Care is a humanitarian, not-for-profit organization that provides comprehensive primary care and community health services for people living in suburban Chicago and beyond. VNA strives to improve health equity and reduce health disparities with high-quality, accessible, and compassionate care delivered in VNA health centers, community settings and patient homes.
The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated Batavia Chamber member Shumway Studio with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 19. When the owners, two long-time media creators, saw the space at 30 S. Shumway Avenue in Batavia three and a half years ago, they instantly knew that this is where they wanted to locate. Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke presided over the celebration, along with owners, Ed Plamondon and Thad Vassmer. Among the large group of well-wishers were Batavia Chamber President and CEO Margaret Perreault and Shirley Mott, chamber communications and membership coordinator. Also present were Lori Botterman, City of Batavia, chamber ambassadors, fellow business owners, and many friends and family.

Village of Rosemont Mayor Brad Stephens joined Pete's Tiki Tiki owners Kevin Killerman, James DeLeo, Marc Offit and Corey Urbach, in cutting the ribbon on the new lounge.
Hair Cuttery Family of Brands announced the grand opening of its Market Plaza salon in Glen Ellyn. The company had a special ribbon-cutting event on Aug. 18 with hair demos, prizes, and refreshments throughout the day.
