Paper or plastic?
I sent a letter to the Social Security Administration on Monday, May 17, stating:
Today I received my Medicare card. It is printed on paper. I thought this was odd (kind of nostalgic and old-fashioned) because in today's world, the cards I receive are all plastic. My driver's license, my library card, my national park card, my grocery store card and my car insurance card are all plastic. My drivers license and Metra cards even have my picture on them (probably to stop fraud). What a great idea. However, in all fairness, with Medicare costs going up every year, it's nice to know the paper membership card is not the cause.
