Scouting the Fire: The Fire (3-3-5, 14 points) hopes to get some momentum coming out of the World Cup break. Midfielder John Thorrington remains out with the quad strain that has kept him on the sidelines all season, but right back Tim Ward is working his way back and could be available.
Scouting the New England Revolution: The Revolution (3-7-2, 11 points) has been hit hard by the injury bug. Joining Taylor Twellman on the sidelines are Steve Ralston, Darrius Barnes and Khano Smith, with Pat Phelan questionable. However, goalkeeper Matt Reis and midfielder Shalrie Joseph are back.
