How to save money in health care
Recently had to find a new supplier for my son's insulin pump cartridges. Found a couple places online for $83-95 a box. After calling my insurance company I found the suppliers were out of network so benefits were almost nothing. When I called the insurance company for in-network suppliers they gave me a few. Calling them got me prices of $215 a box and a net price of about $150 after network discount. Of this, the insurance will pay 80 percent. Think how we could save health care dollars here.
