Enforce, don't change, immigration laws

This country does not need new immigration laws or amnesty for people who are here illegally. What we need to do is enforce the laws we already have.

IF they are here illegally and need to be deported. They have broken the laws of this country and lawbreakers need to be punished not rewarded. Back in the 1980s, Castro opened his prisons and mental hospitals and shipped them by boat to the United States and we gave them asylum. President Reagan said that it would be the last time asylum would be given to people who did not come here through proper channels.

Sure it would break up families, but that is the price you have to pay when you disobey the laws. Look at the people who are in prison, they broke the law and are now paying for their mistake by being separated from their families. Is it any different?

one part of the current law I would like to fix is that one parent has to be a U.S. citizen, in order for that child to be a U.S. citizen. That is how it is in other countries.

Maybe then people wouldn't cross the border give birth. We have enough problems taking care of the children in this country who were born to parents who are here legally.

All Arizona is trying to do is enforce the laws. We need people of courage to face this issue and then take the bull by the horns and enforce all our laws - not just the ones people pick and choose to obey.
