Obama blew chance with oil spill
When Obama first got elected his bitter opponents were wondering if it would take a nuclear bomb to get him to wake up and pay attention to the war on terror. Moderate critics of Obama are saying that the oil spill is Obama's "Katrina."
This oil spill is not Obama's nuclear bomb or his "Katrina," it is much more like Obama's abortion. Like a disinterested father, he ignored and didn't want to be punished by the baby that would change his presidency. Like a disinterested father he would much rather party with rock 'n' roll stars or do other things rather than connect himself with a problem that only he can help with.
A president has a role in our country and this was his big chance to step up. He should have, but he didn't. I am very sorry he missed his chance.
