Medline University enhances site

MUNDELEIN - Medline Industries Inc., a large privately held manufacturer and distributor of health care supplies, has announced enhancements to Medline University, its online resource for clinical education and product training for health care providers.

The revamped website (medlineuniversity.com) now includes free unlimited access to CE credit courses, live webinars, downloadable podcasts, real-time news feeds and innovative interactive competency tools.

More than 50 courses are available covering topics in home care, long-term care, acute care, infection control, incontinence, operating room issues, pressure ulcer prevention, respiratory care and wound care.

New staff participation and progress tracking features have been added that the company says are designed to give health care providers a hand in implementing facility-specific educational programs and plans.

Users also have access to a video library featuring dozens of health care experts addressing the health care industry's hottest topics, Medline Industries said in a statement.
