Gov. Quinn at Harper graduation ceremony:

Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn will deliver the commencement address at the Harper College graduation ceremony, at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 23 on the college's main campus in Palatine.

Quinn is expected to speak to more than 400 graduates about the critical role community colleges play in providing affordable access to higher education and training workers for 21st century jobs.

Enrollment at Harper grew 8 percent, for a record spring head count of 16,878 students, mirroring enrollment trends at Illinois community colleges, officials said. For details, harpercollege.edu or (847) 925-6000.
