Rockets assistant says he'll interview for Bulls, 76ers jobs
HOUSTON -- Houston Rockets assistant coach Elston Turner says he has been invited to interview for the head coaching jobs with the Bulls and the 76ers.
Turner on Thursday told KRIV-TV that he plans to be in Philadelphia on Friday. The former NBA player says no interview date has been set with Chicago.
The Bulls fired coach Vinny Del Negro after he led 41-41 records and first-round playoff exits in each of his two seasons.
The 76ers fired Eddie Jordan last month after the team went 27-55 in his lone season.
Turner three years ago joined the Rockets when Rick Adelman became head coach. Turner previously was with Adelman in Sacramento and is a former assistant in Portland.
