Registration opens for Mid-American Canoe and Kayak Race

The 49th annual Mid-American Canoe and Kayak Race is accepting registrations for the June 6 event on the Fox River.

A 10-mile race will begin at 9 a.m. from Mount St. Park Park in downtown St. Charles and a 6-mile race at 10:30 a.m. from the VFW in Batavia, just south of the downtown. Both races end at McCullough Park in Aurora.

A tailgate-style party will be held in the park after the race.
