Butler Lake catch and release:A catch and release requirement has been established for anglers on Butler Lake and its tributaries in Libertyville. A permit available at the parks office or village hall is required to fish from designated areas. Fishing from the Lake Street bridge and in native plant areas along the shore is prohibited. The permit is free for residents and $10 for nonresidents. Penalties range from $15 to $500. Regulations were established to protect the lake from overuse, restore shrinking fish populations and improve fishing.Lambs Farm cookout:Lamb's Farm on Route 176 in Green Oaks kicks off summer with a picnic from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 30. The event features a barbecue lunch, crafts, live music and entrance to the farmyard and other attractions including a petting zoo, miniature golf, and carousel. Schuler has been appointed to the Lake County Board of Health for a term to run through June 2011. Schuler is a licensed clinical psychologist and the co-founder of Counseling Connections in Libertyville and Vernon Hills, which provides outpatient psychotherapy. He also co-founded Connections Day School in Libertyville and CDS South Campus in Palatine, both private therapeutic day schools, and, New Connections Academy in Palatine for children and adolescents with Aspergers Syndrome Disorders. Schuler has with worked in the fields of developmental disabilities, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, prison recidivism prevention and gang violence reduction.
