Trustmark extends coverage

LAKE FOREST - The Trustmark Cos. is extending health insurance coverage to graduating college students and other adult dependent children currently enrolled in a health plan with the companies.

This extension occurs before the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act provision goes into effect Sept. 23 of this year.

New provisions of the federal health care reform legislation that recently passed require plans to offer dependent care coverage up to age 26 on the first plan anniversary after Sept. 23.
