Illinois, Wisconsin to move games to December
MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin says it has agreed with Illinois to push their Big Ten football matchups into December in 2011 and 2012.
Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema says playing later in the season gives the teams more exposure and an advantage in bowl preparation.
In 2011, the game will be played on Dec. 3 in Champaign, Ill. In 2012, the game will be played Dec. 1 in Madison, Wis.
The two games were originally scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend each year. The 2012 game will be the first Wisconsin has played in Camp Randall Stadium in December.
