Health care law says we're in it together
Congressman Bill Foster voted for the health care bill, seeing through the senseless fear-mongering of its detractors. He met the expectations of those who believed him a thorough and thoughtful man who makes intelligent decisions in the interest of his electorate and the American people at large.
While the bill is not perfect, Foster saw its promise that healthy, secure Americans make a stronger and more productive America. He saw the need of the uninsured. He recognized the helplessness accompanying many with pre-existing conditions. He understood the desire for freedom to change jobs or start a business without fear of losing one's home in the event of a serious injury or illness.
Congressman Foster knew the heath care reform bill addressed these and other important challenges to Americans and America. Notwithstanding that we each carry personal responsibility for our own lives, we can achieve more working together than working alone. With this legislation we are working together as Americans. And we are working ordained with the authority of no less than the Preamble of our Constitution to "promote the general welfare" for We, the People.
Thank you, Bill, for your vote. You will have mine in November.
