Wolves blank Aeros

The Chicago Wolves took an early first-period lead and goaltender Peter Mannino shut down the Houston Aeros as the visiting Wolves cruised to a 4-0 victory.

Center Matt Anderson led the way for Chicago (47-21-1-6) with a goal and an assist while Mannino (24-3-1) turned aside all 32 shots he faced to pick up his second shutout of the year. Left wing Greg Stewart and defensemen Paul Postma and Arturs Kulda also scored.
